Why We Started BASSWAV
Most labels are businesses first, music second. We wanted the opposite.
BASSWAV started from one question: what would happen if every track released by a label had to survive a real dancefloor? Not a focus group. Not a Spotify algorithm. A room full of people who came to feel something.
The Standard
Every track that comes through our A&R process gets one test: does it work on a real set? We bring it to events, to practice sessions, to rooms where people move. If the energy isn't there, it doesn't come out.
Why The Netherlands
The Netherlands has always been at the center of electronic music. From gabber to hardstyle to the DnB scene growing across the country. We're part of that culture — not observing it from the outside.
What's Next
We're building more than a label. BASSWAV is a collective of artists, curators, and people who believe music should be felt before it's analyzed. Releases, playlists, events — everything we do serves that mission.
